Innovating production technologies environmentally and reducing greenhouse gas emissions are key factors to develop economy in accordance with green growth. Moreover, green manufacturing will not only help enterprises solve environmental challenges, but also make these challenges into opportunities for increasing production efficiently.

On August 27th 2014, at the Guest house of City party Committee - 128 Lach Tray, Ngo Quyen, Hai Phong, under the direction of the Department of Industry and Trade, Hai Phong Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Center has organized training courses on Cleaner production in industry for participants of other departments and districts in the whole city.

The Cleaner Production in Industry Component is one of the six components of the Vietnam - Denmark Cooperation Programme in the Environment in the 2006 - 2010 period.

"Four years ago, most Vietnamese businesses didn't understand what was cleaner production. However, until now, cleaner production has been disseminated throughout the country. Furthermore, the cleaner production in industry strategy until 2020 with a vision to 2025 aims to prepare for the popularization of cleaner production models after the Cleaner Production in Industry (CPI) component finishes by the end of this year.

Utilizing the waste of coal-fired power plants
According to preliminary calculations, a coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 1,200 MW daily emits about 4,000 tons of fly-ash cinder, of which, there are 85% of fly-ash.

Electricity prices for 2012 unveiled
Electricity prices are expected to increase by 4.6 percent in 2012, Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue told the National Assembly on November 24.
